In reference to her chracter, Spencer Hastings, on Pretty Little Liars, one host states: “Your character, I don’t like her very much.” Bellisario responds, “Why, tell me, I’m interested.” The host explains, “‘Cause she stole. She steals people.” Troian then responds: “Are you talking about my sister’s boyfriends? This is a really good thing to actually talk about. Because, everyone blames Spencer. And you know what I want to turn around and say? She’s a sixteen year old girl. And all the boys that she’s ‘stolen,’ ya know? They always kiss her first and they’re all over eighteen. So, can we talk about their responsibility that needs to be taken as far as adult males in this community.”]
